What is a Cameo?
'Cameos' is the title I am giving to this body of work which will comprise of 100 miniature painting created in oil in a observational contemporary realist manner.
I hope to complete this project in about a years time, and by doing so continue to improve my ability to 'see', capture and transform singular objects in a almost meditative response to them in paint.
Each painting measures about 3.5"x 3" and will be available for purchase for €125 including postage within the Republic of Ireland.
This is the new introductory price for my work for people to invest in and begin a collection. If you have been following my 'Objects of Desire' blog you will have noticed that those 5"x5" and 7"x5" pieces started at €100 but now fetch approx €220 to €250 with some galleries fetching up to €450.
At a recent Dublin auction two of these studies in oil were purchased for €1100.
If you are interested in purchasing a 'Cameo', be the first to email me when one is posted OR you can 'buy a number' between 1 and 100.
